Kaho Suzuki (New)

Kaho Suzuki is a Japanese illustrator based in Tampere. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2016, and continued her art study in Kokkola, Finland. In 2020, she moved to Norway to obtain her Master’s degree in Visual Communication from Fakultet for Kunst, Musikk og Design, UiB (KMD). At the end of 2024, she returned to Finland and has been working as an illustrator, visual artist, and graphic designer. Her illustrations are often used in magazines, key visuals, cover arts, and merchandise. Her illustration style, with delicate lines, flat surfaces, and crisp colors, evokes both traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern Nordic design. She enjoys adding a hint of irony and humor to her illustrations. As she has been selected as a “young satirical illustrator” in Norway, she is also interested in creating illustrations with social issues. Her passion as an illustrator is visualizing not only joyful topics but also negative/serious emotions in a playful way. Her clients include Ylioppilaslehti, Suistamon Sähkö, Tampereen Kauppakamari, Redd Barna (NO), Varrak (EE), madame FIGARO japon (JP), and Tarzan (JP).

Specialty: Editorial illustration, brand illustration, visual identity, cover art, advertising illustration, thumbnail illustration, storytelling.
