The youth is our future! Youth work is an important aspect of public services that too often goes a bit unnoticed. To celebrate these everyday heroes Napa’s illustrator Oona Mäkelä was invited to create the merch design for Nuori 2026 event!
Nuorisoala ry (The Finnish National Youth Council and Youth Sector FYCS) The customer was especially fascinated by the abundance and liveliness in Oona’s art, especially in her illustrated apartments, houses and urban environments! With a perfect brief playing into Oona’s unique strengths, the results are mesmerizing with a ton of little details to find. The event merch showcasing Oona’s illustration gives us a peek into the world of youth and social work. The little scenes include everyday scenes such as youth and youth workers interacting, sharing stories or taking part in events and tasks at a space for youth over a warm cup of coffee and many more.
The yearly Nuori event gathers youth and educational workers across Finland and offers inspiration and educational seminars on the latest developments within the field. The sold-out event will be held in Helsinki on 14.–15.4.2026 and organized by Nuorisoala ry in collaboration with Church Council of Finland.
