Jukka Pylväs (b. 1974) is a Porvoo-based illustrator and graphic designer. He graduated as a graphic artist from Estonia’s Academy of Arts in 2000 and has continued his studies in graphic design Master’s program in Aalto University. Jukka likes to insert humour, which he scoops up from classic comics and the films of Jacques Tati, into his illustrations. As an illustrator Jukka is the master and best friend of reduction and laconically done illustration. He is a very insightful artist, with whom it’s pleasant to work with. Jukka will never be late on a schedule or deadline, and his visual perception is excellent. He uses a pencil, a marker, a scanner, and Creative Suite to make his illustrations. His clients, among others, include The City of Helsinki, The National Museum of Finland and advertising agencies such as TBWA Helsinki. He also makes designs to license (ask for a link to the material firstname.lastname@example.org).
