Napa Agency makes a come back to Helsinki Design Week! This year we’re organizing a two-day event for professional illustrators. It’s called Portfolio Tales: Character Workshop & Portfolio Review for professional illustrators.

Napa Arts & Licensing Agency – creative agency specializing in illustration – holds a character workshop and a portfolio & brand review for professional illustrators, together with teacher and artist Jenni Saarenkylä from the Arts University Bournemouth.

The two day event includes a well known service of Napa Agency: portfolio & brand review. For the first time it will be held with a specific theme, as we focus on how to write a good artist story. On the second day of the event illustrators will attend a character workshop called “Once upon a creature” held by Jenni Saarenkylä.

The event will end with an after work party, where the participants get to know each other and the agents & artists of Napa Agency.

Thursday 14th of September  2023 🕰 9:00 – 17:00 (Portfolio Review)
Friday 15th of September 2023 🕰 12:00 – 18:00 (Workshop & After Work)

Portfolio Review on Thursday 14th of September starts at 9AM. Every participant has a 50 min timeslot, starting every hour sharp. Workshop on Friday the 15th starts at 12PM, and lasts until 3PM. After Work for participants: from 4PM until 6PM.

HOW TO APPLY: When to apply and how: By the 20th of August (Sunday), by filling this application form HERE. The chosen ones will be informed by the 25th of August (Friday). The event is free for participants and is supported by Kuvittajat ry.

Napa Arts & Licensing Agency is a creative agency specializing in illustration. For 16 years it has been connecting the best buyers and creators of illustration and other creative work. It also mentors artists and entrepreneurs of the creative field.

Jenni Saarenkylä is an award-winning illustrator. Currently Jenni is based in Bournemouth but being originally from Parikkala. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Illustration from Arts University Bournemouth –  where she nowadays also teaches.

This multi-sector event is organized yearly to present the various disciplines of design as well as fashion, architecture and urban culture.
